The Speed Cuber says it all

May 26th, 2010

When you listen to the term “summer internships” you start creating a story in your head about what it will be like. I did the same when I thought of applying for one. The story in my mind was: “Go to office everyday, listen to the so-called boss, he will give you really stupid things to do, you have to do them, learn as much as possible from the surroundings, socialize, etc etc etc”.

Apart from this there were many other conversations going on regarding the value of the invested time and what domain to choose.

While in the search for some opportunity I got connected to @Annkur at onlygizmos.com and I got into the networks of  the Digital Canvas.

I have worked here for (only) 5 days now and the experience curve is exponential.

We, in life, approach any situation with many assumptions or already set a context to them. I did the same with DC until I found out how my so-called boss is – Mr. Mitesh Ashar!

He calls himself a “coach”.  He made it very clear on the 2nd day itself that “reasons” are not accepted at DC.

“At DC, we work at the crux of any concept and as you are an Intern here, offering your services at a very low cost, it is my duty to make sure that you understand and learn something in each and every thing you will be doing here.”, he told me while in a conversation.

I have never had a “boss” before but Mitesh became more of a friend than a Boss in a very short period.

I can see that I will be learning a lot from him.

Really looking forward to work on as many projects as possible at DC.

:)
